Accompanied by Prof. Dr. Alina Pūrienė and Dr. Raimondas Šilkaitis, Rasa Šilkaitienė visited the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, where she met with the Chairman of the Committee on Health Affairs of the Seimas, Mr. Antanas Matulas.

During the meeting, Rasa Šilkaitienė talked about the charitable activities of Lithuanian Children’s Hope, the projects implemented in Lithuania with the help of the organization’s funds, and the ambition to expand the scope of its activities in the future by directing the flow of financial support to the smaller towns and rural areas of Lithuania. Mr. Matulas in gratitude for the initiatives and efforts in caring for children in Lithuania with health problems and their families, presented a letter of appreciation and expressed his willingness to contribute to the organization’s mission.

Before seeing the guests off, Mr. Matulas kindly agreed to show them around the main premises of the Seimas, the historic March 11th Hall, and reminded the guests of the tragic events of January 13th, 1991. He also provided the opportunity to see the Memorial Wall commemorating and honoring the victims who died in the struggle for Lithuanian independence.
